Staff Scored challenges allow you to have other activities that are not necessarily linked to the Player App and reward your attendees for completing them. Here's how to set them up.

Set up

  1. Navigate to Participation Home>Challenges

  2. Click the blue Add button

  3. Select Staff Scored from the Wizard

  4. Fill out the challenge details, such as Player-Facing Name, Instructions, Points, etc.

HOT TIP: Remember to make the instructions as clear as possible so it's easy for attendees to know how to earn points.

Giving out points to participants

Depending on participation and the size of your event, you might want to have a staff member help with adding points to your players.

To assign points, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Display Manager and look for the APG Staff Scoring App link and click on it.

  2. Select the Challenge you want to add the points for.

  3. Click on the points button next to a participant's name to assign the points. You can use the search bar to look for players if your list is too long.

Players can then click on the Refresh icon on the Player App to see the challenge completion and points added to their scores.

View and manage player data

To see the full list of players who have completed the challenge navigate to Participation Game > Challenges and then click on your Staff Scored Challenge.

The list of participants who completed the challenge will be visible right away. From here you can:

  • Edit a player's assigned score by clicking on the Edit button next to the player's name.

  • Remove a player from this challenge, marking it incomplete for the player on the app.

  • Download the list to an Excel spreadsheet

  • Bulk upload a player list with names, emails, and scores if you're keeping track of them on a spreadsheet.
