How do I customize my login fields in SocialPoint?

Learn about custom lead form field options and how to customize the login experience for each SocialPoint game.

Quick Answer

You can customize your login (registration) fields inside your game’s registration settings. All games allow you to configure required lead capture fields, add custom survey fields, and apply settings like domain restrictions, Terms & Conditions, and GDPR consent.

The location of these settings depends on your game type.

Where Do I Customize Login Fields?

Trivia

Go to:

Trivia Home → Manage → Setup → Data Collection

Prize Wheel / Raffle Wheel

Go to:

Game Setup → Lead Capture Form

(Customization happens inside the Lead Capture Builder.)

Attendee Participation Game (APG)

Go to:

Game Dashboard → Configuration → Registration

Login ID types are configured under ID Type.

Required Lead Capture Fields

When Lead Capture is enabled, the following fields are required:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Email

Email acts as the unique identifier for players.

Can I limit data capture to only First Name and Email?

No. SocialPoint requires First Name, Last Name, and Email when Lead Capture is turned on.

Trivia Name-Only Mode (No Email Collection)

Trivia supports a Name-only login mode, but only when Lead Capture is turned OFF.

In this mode:

  • Email is not collected.

  • Only a single name field is shown.

  • The label is customizable (for example: “Team Name,” “Nickname,” etc.).

This option completely bypasses email collection.

Adding Custom Lead Capture Fields

You can expand your registration form by adding custom survey fields.

Available Field Types

  • Phone Number

  • International Phone Number

  • State

  • Zip Code

  • Country

  • Text Field

  • Number Field

  • Drop Down Select

  • Single-Select List

  • Multi-Select List

  • Checkbox

  • Text Area

  • Date

  • Star Rating

  • Likert Scale

  • Terms and Conditions

  • GDPR Consent

These fields allow you to collect additional participant data before gameplay begins.

Domain Restrictions

You can control which email domains are allowed to register.

Where to Configure Domain Restrictions

  • Prize Wheel → Lead Capture Builder

  • Trivia → Setup → Data Collection

  • APG → Configuration → Registration → ID Type

Domain Restriction Settings

  • Off – No restrictions

  • Only Allow – Permit only specific domains (e.g., internal company emails)

  • Always Block – Prevent specific domains (e.g., free email providers or competitors)

GDPR Consent

You may include a GDPR consent field on your registration form.

Can I require users to agree to GDPR?

No.

Under GDPR regulations, consent must be:

  • Freely given

  • Specific

  • Informed

  • Unambiguous

Because consent must be freely given, it cannot be mandatory for participation. Players must be able to proceed without being forced to accept GDPR consent.

Terms and Conditions

You can include a Terms and Conditions checkbox.

Can I require players to accept Terms and Conditions?

Yes.

Unlike GDPR consent, Terms and Conditions can be made mandatory before a player proceeds to the game.

Login Types by Game

Prize Wheel & Raffle Wheel

  • Email-based Lead Capture only

  • No alternate login types

Trivia

Two options:

  1. Lead Capture (First Name, Last Name, Email)

  2. Name-only mode (Lead Capture OFF)

Attendee Participation Game (APG)

Under Configuration → Registration → ID Type, you can choose:

  • Email

  • UserName

Additionally, Cellphone can be selected as a login parameter instead of Email or UserName.

What Happens After You Customize Login Fields?

  • Players will see your configured registration fields.

  • Required fields must be completed before gameplay.

  • Domain restrictions are enforced at registration.

  • Terms and Conditions (if required) must be accepted.

  • GDPR consent remains optional.

  • Email (if used) acts as the unique player identifier.

Common Issues / Troubleshooting

Players cannot register

  • Check Domain Restrictions settings.

  • Confirm Email is not being blocked.

  • Verify required fields are properly configured.

I don’t see Name-only mode in Trivia

  • Confirm Lead Capture is turned OFF.

  • Name-only mode is only available when Lead Capture is disabled.

GDPR is not mandatory

This is expected behavior. GDPR consent cannot be forced.
