How to Create Your Own Graphics for a Virtual Trivia Game

Here's how to create your own set of graphics using our .ai and Canva templates.

Theme Settings

Fully personalizing your game is possible with SocialPoint. To customize your game:

  1. Click on the Edit button on your game

  2. Click the Theme tab.

  3. Click on the Edit button that corresponds to the screen you want to update.


Leaderboard Graphics

The leaderboard is one of the most popular places to create graphics and branding for your game. Here, the top scores will be displayed for everyone to see.

  1. Choose between a 5, 10, or 20-person leaderboard template or create your own.

  2. Download our Adobe Illustrator templates, or edit them in Canva:

    1. 5-Person Leaderboard: Adobe Illustrator, Canva

    2. 10-Person Leaderboard: Adobe Illustrator, Canva

    3. 20-Person Leaderboard: Adobe Illustrator, Canva

  3. Click Update on the bottom of your screen to apply changes

Hot Tip: click the Custom layout to set a different number of players or move the player table

Once you add your leaderboard graphics, you can adjust the placement of the logo, player names, scores, columns, fonts, sizing, etc.


Question Screen (Live Trivia only)

This screen is used in Live Trivia to review the trivia questions.

  1. Download our Adobe Illustrator templates, or edit them in Canva:

    1. Live Trivia Question Screen: Adobe Illustrator, Canva

  2. Upload your image and then click Update at the bottom of the Screen

Hot Tip: selecting Custom as your Layout Style will allow you to change the font sizes and positions


Live Results (Live Trivia only)

This screen is used in Live Trivia to review the trivia questions and the percentage of correct/incorrect answers.

  1. Create a 1920x1080px graphic

    1. Results template: Adobe Illustrator, Canva

  2. (Optional) Configure the colors and fonts:

    • Background Color (Or graphic)

    • Question Size and Font Options

    • Answer Size and Font Options

    • Correct Answer Circle Color and Track Color

    • Incorrect Answer Circle Color and Track Color

    • Add a logo, give it a size and position

  3. Upload your image and then click Update at the bottom of the screen


Player App

The player app was designed to be integrated into your Event App or embedded into a virtual trivia platform.

Background Image:

Formatting includes a background image:

  • Mobile Background Template: Adobe Illustrator, Canva

  • The background image uses a Center-Top alignment. Add your main assets to the center of the image for maximum impact on any viewport.

    Hot Tip: Set the graphic dimensions to the widest viewport that you expect players to use. If players will open the game on their desktop computer set the dimensions to 1920X1080 to be safe.

Font Choices

SocialPoint mobile trivia works with the following fonts


iPad Kiosk

If you're using iPads for an in-person game, head over to the Edit button on your game. From here, do the following:

  1. Set the Devices Used field to iPad Kiosk or Both iPad Kiosk and Mobile/Web

  2. Select your iPad screen size

  3. Head over to the Theme tab and enable Advanced Options to gain access to the Player App (iPad) tab.

Button options

You can change the fonts, colors, and borders in your game's buttons. The Preview buttons to the right will give you an idea of what will your buttons look like in the Player App
