You can pre-register your players and assign a personalized PIN or password to everyone so they can log in easily into the game and skip the registration process.
A PIN can be a combination of numbers, letters, and special characters. Most people use their player's email address as a PIN so it's easier for them to log in to the game.
To enable Pre-registration, follow these steps:
Click on the Edit button on your game
Look for the Data Collection section and set Player Login Type to Pre-registration.
You can rename the Pre-registration field by filling out the Pre-registration Label.
Save your configuration by clicking on Update.
Manually adding players
To pre-register your players, do the following:
Navigate to Trivia>Players and then click on the Add button.
Enter your player's details and assign a unique PIN.
Once you've confirmed that the details are correct, click on the Add Player button. Your players will be added to the list.
Once they click on the Player App link, all they have to do is enter the PIN you assigned to them to log in.
Bulk uploading players
Download our Trivia Player Upload Template and fill it out with your players' details.
Assign a unique PIN to each one of your players. This can be anything from a number code to their email address.
Once you've filled out the template, navigate to Trivia>Players and look for the Upload players from Excel spreadsheet section.
Click on the Choose File button to browse your computer for the file and then click on the Upload Players button.
This should populate your player list with all their information.
On the day of the event, your players can use their PIN to login easily into the game!
Remember that you can Pre-register as many players as you like, and that number can be higher than your Player Limit. Players won't be able to login if the Player Limit on your event has been reached, even if they are pre-registered.
