Create a Prize Wheel using the Lead Capture Mode setting

This guide provides a step-by-step process to create an engaging Prize Wheel using the Lead Capture Mode setting, making it perfect for collecting information about individuals you want to contact later.

Overview

The focus of a Prize Wheel is the prizes. You will add the prizes to the game and they will appear as slices on the wheel. Players can spin the wheel to see what prize they win.

Lead Capture Mode can be used at events or tradeshows where you need to collect information about the player via SocialPoint. After entering the lead information you specify, players will spin the wheel and see what prize they win.


Steps to create a Prize Wheel with Lead Capture Mode

1. To begin creating your Prize Wheel in Lead Capture Mode, select Prize Manager.

2. Select Prize Wheel and then click Let's Start

3. Select Lead Capture Mode then click Next

4. Select your theme. You can select a pre-made SocialPoint Theme or Create your own branded theme. After you have made your selection, click Next.

5. If you are using a preloaded theme, select your theme and then click next.

You will be able to add your logo when customizing your wheel.

6. Enter a name for your Prize Wheel.

If you will be using this Prize Wheel at different trade shows or events, it's best to choose a general name and not the name of the trade show or event. After you have entered a name, click Create Game.

7. Now that your game has been created, you can edit your lead capture form. Click Game List.

8. On the Prize Wheel you created, click Edit.

9. Then click "Edit Lead Capture Form"

10. Update your Lead Capture Form.

The Name field is visible to admin users only.
The Title and Description are visible to the player and required.

You must include a "Unique ID" label. We typically recommend that this is the email address of your participants.

To add a new questions to your Lead Capture Form, click Add Form Field.

11. If you would like the question to be required, click the required checkbox.

12. Click the dropdown arrow under Type to select the type of question you would like to add.

The following type of questions can be added to your Lead Capture Form:

  • US Phone Number

  • International Phone Number

  • State

  • Zip Code

  • Country

  • Text (single row field)

  • Text Area (paragraph field)

  • Number

  • Select List

  • Checkbox

  • Terms & Conditions

  • GDPR Consent

  • Date

13. Add a label for your question.

14. Click "Update"

15. If you are having multiple players spin on the same device, enable Kiosk Mode on the Game Setup tab.

The Kiosk Mode setting will activate a the ability for the Prize Wheel to return to the starting screen and be ready for the next player.

If players are only able to spin the Prize Wheel on their own device by scanning a QR code or clicking a link in their email, Kiosk Mode should remain inactive.

16. Be sure to click Update again on the Game Setup page to save your Lead Capture Form changes.

17. Now it's time to add some prizes to your Prize Wheel. To add prizes, Click Inventory.

18. Click Prize Inventory

19. Prizes can be added individually or by using a template to upload multiple prizes at the same time. For this example we will add them individually. Next to the word Prizes, click the Add button.

20. Enter the name of your prize.

This is the name that will appear in the pop-up message when a player lands on the prize. The Prize Name cannot exceed 150 characters including spaces.

21. Enter a Slice Label for the prize.

This is the what will appear on the Prize Wheel slice for this prize. The Slice Label cannot exceed 25 characters including spaces.

22. Enter a Description of the prize.

The Description is required and cannot exceed 250 characters including spaces.

23. You have the option of including an Image or embedded Video, a prize Sponsor Name and Sponsor Image. These are optional.

24. You also have some setting options you can select.

25. If Can be won is checked, the prize can be won.

If Can be won is unchecked, the prize cannot be won. This may be used if you have a large prize that you do not want to be won right away, however you still want it to be visible on the prize wheel.

If the Can be won remains unchecked, no one will win the prize.

26. If Is visible on Prize Wheel is checked, the prize will appear on the Prize Wheel as a slice.

If the Is visible on Prize Wheel is not checked, the prize slice will be hidden.

27. Enter the Quantity of this prize you would like to give away.

The higher the Quantity of the Prize the more likely it is to be landed on in relation to other prizes on the Prize Wheel. When the Quantity reaches zero, the Prize Slice will remain on the wheel, but the Prize Wheel will not land on that Prize.

28 Click Add Prize to finish adding the Prize to the Prize Wheel.

29. Continue to add prizes until they are all entered.

30. Once all your prizes or added, click Back to Configuration

31. To test your Prize Wheel, Click Links

31. On the Links tab you will find the link and QR code to test or launch your Prize Wheel.

To test your wheel, click Open Prize Wheel

32. To see the player experience and test your wheel complete the Lead Form.

33. After entering the player information, click Submit and the Prize Wheel will spin.

34. The prize wheel will stop automatically and announce that the player has won.

To return to the entry form and be ready for the next player, click Finished.
