Quick Answer
Current Trivia lets you choose from three player experiences:
Quiz
Bingo
Category Clash
These modes are part of the same Trivia game. You do not need to create a different type of Trivia product for each experience.
Quiz
Quiz is the standard question-by-question Trivia experience.
Players answer questions one at a time, and you can configure settings such as scoring, timers, bonus points, question order, and other game options.
Use Quiz when you want a traditional Trivia experience that is easy for players to understand and works well for most events.
Bingo
Bingo combines Trivia questions with a Bingo-style player experience.
Players answer questions and make progress toward completing Bingo patterns as they play.
Use Bingo when you want to add another layer of progression to your Trivia game.
Category Clash
Category Clash presents players with a board of categories and point values.
Players choose which question they want to answer, with different questions carrying different point values.
Use Category Clash when you want players to have more control over which categories they answer and in what order.
Can I change the mode after creating my game?
Yes. You can switch between Quiz, Bingo, and Category Clash without creating a completely new Trivia game.
Your Trivia game remains the same game, while the player experience changes based on the mode you select.
For step-by-step instructions, see How do I switch between Quiz, Bingo, and Category Clash?
What about older Trivia game types?
Existing games created with the previous Trivia experience continue to work as Legacy Trivia games.
If you are working with one of those games, see the Trivia (Legacy) documentation.
