Quick Answer
You cannot directly switch a Trivia game from one game type (Live, Self-Paced, Three Strikes, etc.) to another. To change game types, you must turn the game offline, delete the current configuration, and create a new game using the Game Setup Wizard.
Why You Cannot Switch Game Types
Game types are locked once a Trivia game is created. The system does not allow converting a Live game into a Self-Paced game or vice versa.
To change the format, you must delete the current configuration and create a new one.
Step-by-Step: Switch to a Different Game Type
Turn off the game
Before deleting your game, make sure no one is playing.
Go to Trivia Home.
Click Manage/Play next to your game.
Open the Game Manager tab.
Click the Online button under Status.
The button should switch to Offline
Step 2: Delete the Game Configuration
Return to Trivia > Edit.
Click the red Delete button.
Click Delete Configuration in the confirmation popup.
Step 3: Create a New Game
Click the blue Add button.
The Game Setup Wizard will open.
Select your new game type (Live, Self-Paced, Three Strikes, etc.).
Complete setup and save.
