  • Click the blue Add button to add a player to the raffle

Editing or Removing an Entry

Sometimes you need to edit a player's name or the number of entries they have for the raffle. Yo might also need to remove them from the game. Here's how:

  • Click the Manage button on your game card

  • Click the Name List link next to your Result Set

  • Click the red X next to the player's name to remove them from the game

  • Click the Edit button next to the player's name to edit their details

Best Practices

To ensure optimal performance and avoid these issues:

  • Regularly monitor participant input to verify accurate data.

  • Review registration processes to confirm proper setup and alignment with your event's needs.

  • Properly communicate participant eligibility requirements to avoid discrepancies. By proactively managing functionality and addressing errors efficiently, you can maximize the impact of SocialPoint's Raffle Wheel module for your events.

Troubleshooting Common Errors

Error: “Your raffle has run out of names.”

This error occurs when no eligible participants are loaded into the raffle. To resolve it:

  1. Verify the registration source:

    • Ensure you are using the correct input method for participant registration (e.g., QR codes or other approved registration sources).

    • Double-check that the registration source is valid and actively feeding names into the raffle.

  2. Add eligible participants to the wheel:

    • Ensure all participants meet the eligibility criteria.

    • Once participants are added successfully, the raffle wheel should resume functioning normally. By addressing these common issues, you can restore functionality to the Raffle Wheel module, ensuring an engaging and smooth experience for all involved.

Managing Player Limits

If you have reached the maximum participant limit and want to add more entries without purchasing extra capacity, follow these steps:

  1. Start a new result set for the raffle.

    • Creating a new result set resets the player count to zero.

    • This allows you to accommodate up to the default participant limit again (check your account's standard capacity limit). By resetting the result set, you can avoid buying additional participant slots while maintaining smooth functionality for your event.
