How to Setup Registration and Login for your Attendee Participation Game

Learn how to setup the landing page, registration and login for your game.

Registration Options

Each customer comes to us with unique registration requirements for their games. Here are three ways to get people into your game:


Register at Login

This section will provide an overview of the registration and login process.

There are three components of your registration and login process.

  • Landing Page

  • Registration

  • Login

Landing Page

Your Landing page is a brandable Call to Action page that encourages players to join your game. You can add a logo, game name, and description OR expand the content with additional media and information.

Players will enter their email address. If the email is recognized, then they will be asked to login. If not, the game will take them through a registration process.

How to Setup my landing page

  1. Choose Configurations then Registration

  2. Then, you can configure your landing page.

Advanced Landing page features:

  • Media in-game description: Add videos, images, copy, and more.

  • Registration Footer with a link

  • Player Access Code that prevents others from joining your game.


Registration

SocialPoint gives you several options to customize the registration fields and experience if your players join your game directly through SocialPoint.

How to Setup Registration

  1. Go to Configuration -> Registration.

  2. Activate In-App Registration

Here are some of the Registration options:

  • Mobile phone field

  • Registration survey: Custom Form fields beyond first name, last name, email and mobile phone.

  • Domain Restrictions: restricts players based on email domain

  • Terms and Conditions: Upload your lawyer's 9 pages of terms and conditions.

  • GDPR Consent: Add your GDPR consent label and details

Auto-Registration

SocialPoint can receive data from your Event App that registers and logs players into your game via URL.

Here's a general guide on how to test your Event App for possible integration with our gamification platform.

  1. Does your Event App allow players to click on a button, card, or icon that will open up an external website inside the event app?

  2. Does your event app allow dynamic links to pass participant data to a third-party website? These are usually called data tags. They might look like this: {{{first_name}}}}, {{{{last_name}}}}, {{{email}}}}.

  1. Go to Configuration -> Links

  2. Scroll down to Embed Codes


Pre-Registration with Auto-Login

Most people use Pre-Registration with Auto-Login under the following use cases:

  1. When the organizer only wants to include a subset of attendees as players. (e.g. exlcude exhibitors). Those players get an error message indicating that they are not allowed to play.

  2. When players are assigned to teams or groups.
    ​
